Whenever you need to make a change in your life, the first step is identifying what needs to be changed. Then you can figure out how to tweak your habits and start shifting the patterns that aren’t working for you.

For some people, huge, sweeping changes, like completely eliminating the foods you overeat from your diet, work best. For others, small changes, such as a meat eater following a vegetarian diet at least one day a week, are easier to put into effect. But it’s not always about the types and amounts of food you eat; a healthy diet that leads to weight loss or weight maintenance is also about changing destructive eating patterns.
